Carlingford!!

September 13th and 14th were absolutely amazing! All of the t.y.s were up and ready to go for a very early 7am on the 13th, and were off then on the buses up to Carlingford in Louth. It was about 9am when we arrived, and then by about 10am we were off on our first activity! We did land courses in the morning; low ropes, water barrel, comunication breakdown and the Maze. they were all brilliant activities.
After Lunch That day, my group, which was half of the ty students, went canadian canoeing, while the other half of ty went kayaking. Canadian Canoeing was brilliant. We rowed from one side of the lake to the other. Once we reached the other side, we were aloud to jump off into the water. Eventually i jumped in, but once i hit the water, my shoe loosened and then fell off and sank... haha, ah well, at least it was an old shoe :) we then rowed back to the side that we started and went pier-jumping! I jumped off the highest pier and the lower pier. It was great :)
At 7pm then we went on a mountain hike. We went up a steep side in the mountain and then walked back to the centre where we were staying on a flat road. When we came back then, we had chinese (yum) and then went up to our rooms. I shared a room with 3 of my friends - R.P , K.W and L.Y. We had a great time sharing a room. We had to be in our rooms by 10.45, and once our heads hit the pillows at 11pm, we fell fast asleep after our exhausting yet terrific day :)
Our next and final day, September 14th, was another brilliant day! After Breakfast That day, my group were off to the highropes which consisted of a very large pole which you had to climb and stand on, the jacobs ladder which was a giant wobbly ladder that inbetween each step on the ladder, the gap was bigger and the final part which was kind of like an obstacle course in the air including a slanted log, then a straight log a little higher and then a tight rope above that again :) i tried them all! yay! We all had harnesses and helmets on in this activity. i enjoyed doing them all, it was amazing!
the next and final activity of our great trip was an orienteering course in the mountain, it went on for ages! we had to find 29 different letters:)
This whole trip was amazing :) I got on with lots of other girls in the year and had a great time! Thank you teachers! i would love to go back again one day :)

social development day :)

Monday 6th of September was brilliant  Class Amina had social development day in the library with Austin Dunne. We first did Introductions in the group. We had to get into pairs and talk to our pair. Once we had finished talking to our pair, we had to tell the class their: name

Were they are from

Their Hobbies

3 great achievements

Where they would see themselves in 10 years time

Their most embarrassing moment

During that day we all got to know each other better and also got to know ourselves better. We also found out our personality types. There were four types: blue (the observers), red (the directors), green (the moderators) and yellow (the entertainers). We found out our personality types by using coloured cards. Each card had things describing people. The most amount of cards of a certain colour was your personality type. My own personality type was red  I had a brilliant day that day…..  Next Stop…… CARLINGFORD! Yay! 
